Russell Walker

Russell Walker, PhD is Associate Director of the Zell Center for Risk Research and Clinical Associate Professor of Managerial Economics and Decision Sciences at the Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University. His expertise is in the application of analytics in business and risk management. His research interests include how organizations deploy analytics and leverage information in the enterprise for risk management. Dr. Walker has advised many firms internationally, such as the CME Group, PepsiCo, John Deere, IBM, Discover Financial, Capital One Financial, and Microsoft. At Kellogg. Dr. Walker is the Academic Director for the Kellogg Executive Education Program in Risk Management and teaches in the Microsoft executive program.  He is a regularly invited speaker internationally, including at the IESE Business School in Spain, the Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration of Chulalongkorn University in Thailand; and the Indian School of Business in India. He is frequently quoted on risk management topics, including in the Financial Times, Herald Tribune, The Strait Times, Washington Post, and CNN. He holds an executive MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and an MS and PhD from Cornell University. Dr. Walker is also a former director of the Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, where he led a program to assist Hispanic entrepreneurs and advised U.S. Senators on U.S. Latino issues.
