Christian Hallowell

Christian Hallowell is an accomplished culinary executive with more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. In his role as general manager of on-board customer experience at Delta Air Lines, he is responsible for elevating the in-flight culinary experience for Delta customers through the airline’s food and beverage programs. His key responsibilities include menu design and development, planning, and strategic innovation—in partnership with more than 165 catering kitchens around the globe.Prior to joining Delta, he served as dedicated executive chef within Gategroup, a global leader in airline catering. In this role, he supported Delta’s global operation through a collaborative partnership. Previously, Christian also worked in research and development with Compass Group’s health care division, Morrison, Lufthansa Service Group, The Ritz-Carlton, and Occidental Hotels, as well as many fine dining establishments around the country. Christian completed his culinary education at Baltimore International Culinary College, studied business at Reinhardt College and hospitality administration at Cornell University. He volunteers his time as quartermaster for the Boy Scouts of America, and supports Habitat for Humanity, and Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry. (Atlanta, GA)
