Amanda Mikels’25, MPS

CEO & Founder, Summer's Bounty 365, LLC

After leaving the corporate tech world, Amanda Mikels channeled her business expertise into sustainable food systems, driven by a belief that operational efficiency can mean the difference between a mission-driven organization surviving and scaling, or not. At Community Nutrition Partnership, she has helped triple the number of food-insecure clients receiving weekly healthy food boxes at home through introducing streamlined workflows. Beyond direct service, Amanda shapes policy: she co-authored a resolution adopted by the New York State Farm Bureau to expand the Agriculture & Markets code's definition of farming operations, making it more inclusive of cooperative, urban, and aquaponic farms. She is also an active member of Good Food Buffalo, which is currently advocating for the creation of an Office of Food Policy & Urban Agriculture to better represent the region's food system community. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, she holds an MPS in Sustainable Food Systems. linkedin.com/amandamikels
