Julia Mason

Senior Social-Ecological Systems Scientist, Environmental Defense Fund

Dr. Julia Mason is interested in interdisciplinary, systems-level approaches to understand and build climate-resilient fisheries and food systems. For her work with EDF’s Ocean Science team, she collaborates with academic, NGO, and government partners on research and advocacy projects that elevate the role of fish and fishing communities in climate resilience, nutrition and human health, and ocean-based climate policies. She holds a PhD in Biology from Stanford University. (Miami, FL)
