Associate Professor Baking and Pastry, The Culinary Institute of America

Lilla Bernal ‘99, CMB is an associate professor of Baking and Pastry Arts at CIA San Antonio. A native of San Antonio and a 1999 graduate of CIA in New York, Bernal returned to her alma mater as a faculty member in 2016 after building a global career in baking and pastry arts. She has had the pleasure of working in a variety of roles in New York, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Belize, and the great state of Texas.
In addition to her Baking and Pastry degree from CIA, she has a bachelor’s degree in public health from Johnson & Wales University. She is currently enrolled in the Masters of Sustainable Food Systems here at CIA and has every intention of graduating in 2027. (San Antonio, Texas)
